MIISTA

barcelona fashion store

Autor: Tomas Pintos

Laura Villasenin founded Miista in 2010 in East London to create shoes that were original, experimented with texture and shape, and importantly, had a democratic price point for a luxury item. Growing up in Galicia, in the North of Spain, an area with a history of fashion production dating back to 19th-century artisans who handmade linens, Laura was always interested in the investment and preservation of craft, and the ownership of a short supply chain. In 2021, Miista took the risk to invest in its own factory to start producing ready-to-wear collections.

“Buying stuff is sexy, Ruining the Planet isn’t,” says Laura. Over more than ten years, Miista is proud to have built a brand that, through craft, community, the risks taken, and a willingness to laugh at themselves, makes a commitment to the alternative and dedicates itself to the opposite thing. Always playing with opposites, enjoying a double identity between Spain and London, and experimenting with making a product with the highest quality European-only sourced materials and radical design.

NIMPH

Autora: Mireia Delofeu

Embrace the future of fashion with NIMPH, an emerging fashion brand from Barcelona, founded by designer and creative director Patty Mañá. Established in 2020 as an upcycling project, Patty brought her first collection to life by collaborating with other like-minded young creatives in Barcelona. As a brand committed to the present moment, NIMPH works independently of the traditional fashion calendar, launching capsule collections throughout the year. Each collection is a “chapter” in its history and has a title and a number.

The brand is committed to design and production in innovative and sustainable ways. It sources its materials locally and its production takes place entirely in Barcelona. Likewise, the collections are developed with a strong focus on recycling and deadstock, transforming the old and forgotten into new and current garments.

In 2022 he debuted at EGO MBFW at Madrid Fashion Week, and to this day he continues to work on the brand from his studio in Gracia, Barcelona.

NIMPH is Patty’s vision of an imaginary postmodern world inhabited by queer and independent female fantasy creatures.
